Because exfoliating the skin is a beauty trick for maintaining clear and radiant skin, we should make time to care for our skin at least once a week. Using a salt scrub helps the skin look healthy, fresh, and youthful, reducing the appearance of premature wrinkles.
The secret to using salt scrubs is that it’s easy to do and the ingredients are widely available at many stores. So, ladies, it’s a good idea to keep some in your bathroom!

How to scrub with salt
Raw materials and equipment
- Fine sea salt – 1 ½ cups
- Baby oil – ¼ cup (Alternatively, you can use natural oils such as coconut oil, jojoba oilأو almond oil instead of baby oil.)
- Honey – 1 tablespoon
- A glass jar with a tightly sealed lid
- A mixing bowl for preparing the scrub, a spoon, and a small spatula
How to make a salt scrub
Start by pouring the salt, baby oil, and honey into a mixing bowl. Then, use a small spatula to stir the ingredients together until well combined. You can adjust the proportions to your liking, but be careful not to make the scrub mixture too runny or too dry.
Once all the ingredients are well mixed, use a spoon to carefully transfer the mixture into a glass jar and seal it tightly. No need to refrigerate. When you’re ready to exfoliate, use a spoon instead of your hands to maintain cleanliness. Then, gently scrub or massage the mixture onto wet skin while showering. Leave it on for about 15 minutes (avoiding the face), and then rinse off. You’ll notice your skin feels smoother, softer, and visibly brighter.
In addition, you can also add other ingredients to enhance your salt scrub, such as turmeric powder, sugar, fresh milk, lemon juice, tamarind, vitamin E, yogurt, tomatoes, strawberries, and you can even add 1-2 drops of essential oil. This will create a lovely home-spa atmosphere, leaving you feeling refreshed and relaxed. Moreover, some natural ingredients with gentle textures can even be used to exfoliate the face effectively.
