Permanent laser hair removal

Hair is something that grows to cover various parts of the body, such as the scalp, body, underarms, legs, or the genital area. It comes in different sizes, colors, textures, and amounts—depending largely on an individual’s genetic makeup.

Human hair and fur have a three-stage life cycle.

  1. Anagen Phase – This is the growth phase, where the hair actively grows and continues to lengthen over time.
  2. Catagen Phase – This is the transition phase, during which hair growth stops, and the hair prepares to shed.
  3. Telogen Phase – This is the resting and shedding phase, where the hair begins to fall out naturally.

Once the cycle completes, it starts over again, with a new hair growing in place of the old one. This continuous loop is the natural hair growth cycle that keeps repeating throughout our lives.

  • Body hair (general) has an average growth phase of only 2–3 months.
  • Underarm hair, leg hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows typically have a growth phase of around 4–7 months.
  • Pubic hair usually has an average growth phase of about 5–7 months.

Nowadays, there are various methods for hair removal such as plucking, shaving, waxing, etc. However, these methods typically result in temporary hair removal, as the hair eventually grows back and does not offer a permanent solution.

Currently, laser hair removal has become a popular and effective method for achieving long-lasting or permanent results. It helps leave the skin smooth and hair-free, and it is suitable for all skin types and tones. Laser technology is clinically proven to be both effective and safe, providing solutions not only for regular hair removal but also for conditions like ingrown hairs and fine facial or body hair.

One of the key advantages of laser hair removal is that it targets the hair follicle without damaging the top layer of the skin, meaning there’s no burning or surface damage, making the procedure safe and free from significant side effects.

How laser hair removal works

The use of a laser with appropriately adjusted energy levels is directed to the desired area for hair removal. The laser energy passes down to the hair root, causing fine hairs to shed, while thicker hairs gradually fall out with continued laser treatment. Over time, the hair in the treated area decreases, grows more slowly, becomes finer, and thinner, without any harm.

Preparation before laser hair removal

  1. Avoid plucking or waxing for about 3 weeks.
  2. During the laser treatment, you may feel a warm sensation and smell the burning hair.
  3. Laser hair removal should be done continuously until the full course is completed, even if hair growth has almost stopped after the first 4-7 sessions, in order to effectively destroy the hair follicles.

Post-Hair Removal Care

  • For the first 1-3 days, the skin may become dry and peel. It is recommended to use creams to moisturize, such as aloe vera gel or a moisturizer.
  • During the first week, avoid exfoliating the skin, stay away from intense sunlight, and apply sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.
  • For underarm treatments, for the first 1-2 days after the procedure, avoid using deodorants or antiperspirants.
  • After showering, make sure to dry and clean the skin thoroughly.

Advantages of laser hair removal

  • Results can be seen from the very first session.
  • The skin becomes smoother and more refined.
  • Hair grows back slower, becomes finer, and will gradually disappear over time.
  • There is no harm to the skin, and it does not cause sagging.
  • It is safe, meets international standards, and is certified by the FDA.
