One of the biggest problems for teenagers is acne, which often recurs and never seems to go away completely. Even after the acne clears, it usually leaves behind annoying scars. The main causes of acne include stress and dirty hands, as picking, squeezing, or scratching the skin can lead to inflammation and bacterial infection.

Acne Treatment Methods

  1. Eat Vegetables and Fruits
    These help nourish your skin, making it healthy and radiant, while also reducing the chances of acne. Avoid foods high in sugar or overly greasy foods, which often lead to breakouts.
  2. Wash Your Face
    Cleanse your face twice a day—morning and evening—using a product suitable for your skin type. Use warm water to wash your face first, followed by cold water to tighten pores and reduce acne formation.
  3. Avoid Touching Your Face
    Unless your hands are clean, do not touch your face. Items like your mobile phone harbor bacteria and germs. Make sure to wash your hands regularly or use hand sanitizer before touching your face.
  4. Do Not Squeeze or Pick Pimples
    This can cause infections deep within the skin, leading to swelling, redness, and post-acne marks. Squeezing pimples also increases the risk of permanent acne scars.
  5. Use Salicylic Acid or BHA Spot Treatments
    Salicylic acid helps eliminate acne-causing bacteria, promotes skin cell turnover, and encourages the formation of new skin cells, which can reduce inflammation quickly.
  6. Laser and Light Therapy
    These treatments target the bacteria in the deeper layers of the skin that cause acne. Laser and light therapies work without damaging the outer layer of your skin.
